Sun Set Lens Works

We are offering our clients Positive Cylindrical Lens that has surfaces with two different radii of curvature in two orthogonal planes. Such Lenses are used for magnifying in one dimension, and for focusing a diverging beam on to a detector array. Unlike spherical lenses that act symmetrically in two dimensions, Cylindrical Lens act in the same manner but only in one dimension. Positive Cylindrical Lens can be used in pair for providing anamorphic shaping of a beam. The pair of these Lenses can also collimate and circularize the output of a laser diode.
